The College Preparatory Program (CPP) is a student orientation program, designed to introduce new and transfer students to life at Southville Foreign University. New and transfer students will have the opportunity to meet fellow students, faculty, and staff, as well as to explore the campus. They will learn about SFU organizations, activities, college policies and special events for the term.
The pre-college academic preparation program that provides learners with the opportunity to review and improve academic, technical, personal and interpersonal skills in preparation for college courses. It is here that students learn firsthand about the expectations for future college study at SFU.
The CPP is specifically designed for students to review topics such as classroom participation, reading skills, mathematics, learning with others, studying, project management, and time management, in a supportive college environment.
Students receive a clear and coherent message about what they need to know to be successful in the college program. This represents an effort to be realistic about the skills, approaches, experiences, and subject matter that make up the appropriate background for college students.
Students will find a tremendous amount of information delivered in an active, engaging learning environment. Not only will this class build their success skills for their college work, but it also will give them a foundation of behaviors, habits and skills that will enable them to succeed and thrive in the working world. Their desire to succeed is the only prerequisite. |
