Accreditations, Endorsements, and Memberships
Founded in 1946, the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (CHRIE) is the global advocate of hospitality and tourism education for schools, colleges, and universities offering programs in hotel and restaurant management, food service management and culinary arts. In recent years, International CHRIE's focus has expanded and its mission statement has evolved, making it a marketplace for facilitating exchanges of information, ideas, research, products and services related to education, training and resource development for the hospitality and tourism industry (food, lodging, recreation and travel services). Serving as the hospitality and tourism education network, it strives to unite educators, industry executives, and associations.
Council of Hotel & Restaurant Educators of the Philippines (COHREP), an organization of educators, trainors and industry practitioners, affirms and avows its commitments to provide leadership toward the attainment of excellence through united efforts for the development of its members. COHREP envisions itself as the prime mover of excellence in hospitality education through the general advancement of teaching, learning, research and human resource development in the hospitality education industry.
The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) is an independent, multi-disciplinary organization, dedicated to the promotion and protection of collective human health and well-being. Through advocacy, mediation, empowerment, knowledge and practice, it advises on policy development; provides education and training services; encourages scientific research; disseminates information; and certifies products, training centres and processes. As a vital part of its remit, the RSPH provides vocationally related qualifications [RSPH training and courses lead to qualifications!] that are directly relevant to the workplace and national health priorities. Around 100,000 students qualify through RSPH every year, through a network of UK-wide registered training centres.
A non-stock, non-profit organization, the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP) is an umbrella organization that speaks for the hospitality industry, especially for the Hotel and Restaurant sectors. Created in 1951, HRAP membership includes luxury/deluxe, first class, standard and economy hotels; leading restaurants and fastfood groups; schools and universities offering hotel and restaurant management, vocational and 4-year degree courses; and allied industry partners. Member establishments are represented by hotel general managers, restaurant owners, university deans and HR chairs and corporate CEOs/COO.
The International Society of Travel and Tourism Educators (ISTTE) is an international organization of industry professionals in travel, tourism and related fields representing all levels of educational institutions, ranging from professional schools and high schools to four-year colleges and graduate-degree granting institutions.
Philippine Marketing Association (PMA). Marked by turbulent economic and political upheavals, the PMA embraced the 80’s with an equally trailblazing passion to improve the practice and teaching of Marketing and further develop the professional growth of the marketing men and women's’ outstanding contributions to Philippine Marketing.
Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and they are sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes them true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary. As one of Rotary’s most significant and fastest-growing service programs, with more than 7,000 clubs in about 163 countries and geographical areas, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon. All Rotaract efforts begin at the local, grassroots level, with members addressing their communities’ physical and social needs while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.
