The IT job market is steadily growing worldwide. The need for qualified Computer Science graduates is forcing companies to compete in recruiting globally. Companies are looking for individuals with IT skills as well as skills in analysis, problem solving, communication, and project management. SFU’s Computer Science programs enable students to obtain these skills in addition to the technology skills that employers are seeking today. The Computer Science degree provides the students with the latest technology in the industry and hands-on approaches which will enable them to explore computer-based solutions to challenging IT problems. Upon completion of any of these programs at SFU one will have a solid knowledge of how to plan, design, and manage a broad range of computer information systems. The Computer Science degree prepares the students in areas such as network systems and data communication, database design and administration, programming, and project management.
