Welcome to Southville Foreign University, where the focus is on quality and excellence in international education.

SFU is the pioneer in transnational education in the Philippines. As such, we establish partnerships and affiliations with colleges, universities, and academic programs from foreign countries which are known for their exacting standards and academic excellence. These affiliations enable us to deliver the curricula of selected institutions, here in the Philippines, using their syllabi, teaching methodologies, standards and grading systems. Upon completion of their courses, students are awarded diplomas or degrees from these foreign affiliates. Some examples of these affiliates are University of Sunderland in the U.K., the International College of Hospitality Management in Australia, Edexcel in the U.K, Southern New Hampshire College in the U.S.A. and the University of Hatfordshire in the U.K.

We take pride in our student-centered educational system. Our students readily find out that at SFU, learning is focused on them. We maintain a low student-faculty ratio to ensure optimum learning, to allow our faculty to pay attention to the students' learning needs, and to challenge them to explore their talents and full potential. Experiential learning takes place in the practical aspects of their curriculum, in their computer and hospitality laboratories, in student activities, in their mentoring sessions, and most especially in the internships - mostly paid and abroad - in such places as the U.S.A., the U.K., Australia, Switzerland and the Middle East. The diversity of our student body exposes them to a variety of cultures and prepares them for the real life challenges of the 21st century. Equally diverse is our faculty, educated from all over the world, who bring with them not only their rich academic background but a wealth of industry experiences. Their commitment to academic excellence is noteworthy.

I can say with pride that the academic rigor at SFU prepares our students to be globally competitive in the business world. Our alumni thank us for getting them ready to play their role as professionals, entrepreneurs, managers, and leaders. The foreign industry sponsors of our interns give them accolades for their performance and congratulate SFU for having provided the interns with high quality education.

It is truly a great pleasure to be part of the Southville Foreign University and to be partly instrumental in bringing its mission to life in these highly competitive and demanding times.

           -  Dr. Melva M. Diamante, President
